2015 Rezoning/PC Meeting - Sept 1st 9 AM
Residents of Browns Farm,
Should you be concerned with the zoning of the new residential development across the street from Brown’s Farm, you should plan on attending the PC meeting on Tuesday, September 1 at 9 a.m., 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta. I would get there early. Parking is $5 at the lot next door. Cash only. Parking on the street at that time is near impossible.
The Board has met with several people in regards to this development, and they are trying to get R20 zoning, in lieu of the R30 it was zoned for, which adds approximately 15 to 17 residential lots to the development. They are also proposing a drive along Due West road, directly in front of the Browns Farm entrance. The R30 zoning is what is preferred by Browns Farm, with no drive exit or entrance on Due West Road.
We are not in support of the property being rezoned to provide additional residential lots, therefore we do not support the Rezoning of the property. It was bought as a R30 zoned development, and should be developed accordingly. Please try to attend in opposition to the proposal, and numbers are good, so please try to attend.
